HughesNet Satellite Internet Details
Installation	Dish is installed on an exterior wall with a view of the southern sky.
Requirements	Credit Card Required to Setup Account. Windows or Macintosh Computer- (Later Model Windows XP or Mac OS X)
Installation Charges	Installation Charges are generally $400-500 plus airfare. Multiple Installations in a single location have discounts available. If we come to your village and do several installations at once, installation charges are discounted.
Download Details	Everyone is Rural Alaska is familiar with having a water tank in their homes. HughesNet does a similar thing with Internet. You are allotted a certain amount of data per day at high speed. For normal surfing and using the Internet, the amount of data is generally NEVER used. You cannot, however, go crazy and download multiple movies every day or you will use up the amount of data allotted to you for the day. (You will run out of water) Each day the amount of data is refreshed. This is called the FAP. One benefit about Rural Alaska Installations is that the FAP is lenient during late night Eastern Time Zone times, which are only 9pm-1am AKDT.
Contract Requirement	There is a 24 month contract associated with the system purchase. This means that there are high cancellation charges if you cancel the contract before completion.
Sharing	This Internet Connection can be shared. However, each user must be careful not to exceed download limits which will affect all other users. We have installed this system in several offices with multiple users. Added equipment is necessary, but we can set this up for you. It is ideal for small offices, IRA's, Tribal Governments, and Small Business in Rural Alaska!
